You need not head into the city to do your shopping, especially if you're putting up at Sentosa. Just across the resort island, on the mainland, you'd find the giant VivoCity shopping mall and the adjoining Harbourfront Centre. And let's not forget the various options available in Resorts World Sentosa, too.

Vivocity is one of Singapore's largest shopping malls, with over 300 retailers catering to practically every shopping need. If it's gadgets you're looking for, head on to the Best Denki or the Challenger chains. Fashion stores here runs the gamut, from main-street labels like River Island to high-street couture such as Desigual. And, if you fancy yourself a seasoned globetrotter, you'd probably be delighted to know that there's also a National Geographic Store, the only one in Singapore, in the mall.

Next to VivoCity is the smaller Harbourfront Centre. It's not quite as vibrant as its larger neighbour, and caters more towards the working crowd in the area, but it's worth a visit for the number of main-street shops in the building, from Esprit to Iora and even a Hush Puppies outlet. More importantly, this is the place to come if you're thinking of booking tours and cruises to neighbouring islands.

At the Resorts World Sentosa, you can find souvenir shops at the Resorts World Gift Shop, or indulge your sweet tooth at Candylicious, Garrett Popcorn and Hershey's. Tailor an outfit at Canali's or shop for luxury accessories at Kate Spade, Chanel Watches, Chopard, and Jimmy Choo. Pick up some souvenirs from Universal Studios at the Fairy Godmother's Potion Shop and the Silver Screen Collectibles.
